I show you how to really understand your camera and take images you love – personally, at your own pace, in the Chiemgau and at Lake Chiemsee.
Whether you're holding your first camera, have been shooting for a while and are looking for the next step, finally want to capture your children and family really beautifully, or are toying with the idea of becoming a photographer yourself – I meet you exactly where you are. We work 1:1 or in a small group, entirely tailored to your level and your goals.
In the end you go home not with memorised theory but with real skills: you understand your camera, see light more consciously, build your images more deliberately – and know how to get what's in your head onto the photo.
Model included: You don't have to bring anyone to practise with – I bring a model to every coaching session. That way you try out what you've learned directly on a real person and practise portraits, posing and light in a hands-on way.
Aperture, shutter speed and ISO – how the triangle works together and how to get out of auto mode without losing the overview.
Reading and using available light: where do I stand, when is which light beautiful – and how do I make the best of every situation.
What makes an image calm and coherent: guiding the eye, lines, foreground and background, and consciously changing perspective.
Posing basics without stiffness: how to guide people in a relaxed way, capture real moments and help everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera – practised directly on a real model I bring along.
Lightroom basics: importing and sorting images and developing them into a coherent, natural look – without it looking over-edited.
Away from copying, towards your style: we look at what you like and why – and how to develop a common thread for your images from that.
The ideal start: in a compact session, out of auto mode and into conscious photography. Understand your camera and get some first practice outdoors.
Enough time to really go deep: technique, light, composition and photographing people – plus a joint image review.
Learning together in a relaxed group at Lake Chiemsee. Lots of practice, individual tips and time to try out what you've learned straight away.
All formats can be combined individually and tailored to your goals – and they're also available as a gift voucher. The location is chosen by arrangement in the Chiemgau or at Lake Chiemsee. The prices are guide values and entirely without obligation; just tell me what you have in mind and we'll find the right fit.
First we look at where you are and what you want to achieve. What do you enjoy photographing, what isn't working the way you'd like yet? I then shape the day around that.
The biggest part is hands-on and trying things out: we photograph together in nature, I show you everything directly on the camera and you practise straight away yourself.
We look at your images together, talk honestly about what works, and I show you the basics of editing in Lightroom on one or two examples.
You leave not with a pile of theory but with real ability and confidence. On request you get a few notes and concrete next steps to take with you.
Basically any camera on which you can set aperture, shutter speed and ISO yourself – whether DSLR or mirrorless, any brand. We work with your own gear so you can carry on with exactly that afterwards. You can also learn a lot with a bridge or good compact camera. Tell me in advance what you have and I'll tailor things to it. And if you don't (yet) have a suitable camera: I can provide my own equipment if needed, so you can get started right away.
No, beginners are especially welcome. We start exactly where you are – at the absolute basics if you like. Because I work 1:1 or in a small group, it goes at your pace and no one feels left behind.
In the Chiemgau and at Lake Chiemsee – we agree the exact spot based on your goals. For available light and people, the lakeshore or a quiet natural backdrop works well. We do the practical part outdoors and the image review at a cosy spot.
Yes, gladly. Every format is also available as a gift voucher – a lovely idea for anyone who enjoys photography or wants to go deeper. Just tell me which format it should be and you'll get the voucher to give away.
Yes. If you can't be there in person or want to keep progressing in between, I'm happy to look at your images remotely and give you concrete, honest feedback on composition, light and editing. We calmly agree in advance how that works best for you.
Tell me where you are right now and what you'd like to learn – no rush at all. Together we'll find the format that suits you.
